About this route
F-Úha, in the Via Ferratový svet park at Skalka, is the hardest secured route in Slovakia, and its grade F speaks for itself. Though only about 45 m long and climbable in roughly ten to thirty minutes, it is an extreme effort built around an 11 m overhang, essentially a UIAA 7+ pitch protected by ferrata cable and reserved for very strong, experienced climbers. The risk of getting stuck on the wall and needing assistance is real even for seasoned climbers. The approach from the parking area to the chalet on Skalka is short, and the F-route can be tackled as the culmination of a whole series of graded lines. It is emphatically not for the inexperienced or the underpowered.
