About this route

Via Ferrata Rochers de Naye is a demanding line high above Lake Geneva, widely praised for offering one of the finest panoramas in French-speaking Switzerland. Graded around D/E (K4/K5), it sets the tone immediately with a vertical starting spur of roughly 50 m, then leads through a restful cave before a steep overhang guards the exit. Reaching the foot of the route is half the fun: the cogwheel train from Montreux drops you at the Jaman stop, or you can drive via Caux to the Col de Jaman. Expect around two and a quarter hours on the wall, and note that the upper section is closed in the first half of the year to protect nesting birds, when the escape route must be used. This is firmly a route for seasoned, fit climbers with a head for exposure.
