About this route
Via Commo is one of the tougher lines in the Via Ferratový svet area at Skalka near Kremnica, graded around C–D and a good test for more capable climbers. It opens with a traverse along a band of rock, climbs a vertical wall, and culminates on a fine 32 m rope bridge set at a height of up to about 35 m, where the adrenaline is in no short supply. The rock tower at the top carries a glazed viewing platform with handsome panoramas over Skalka and the surrounding hills. The route runs roughly 110 m, with the climbing itself taking around a quarter of an hour and a short approach across the ferrata area from the car park. It suits more experienced ferratists who have already handled the easier lines and want a bigger challenge; mind the winter closure.
