About this route
The Übungsklettersteig Ewige Wand is a very short but strikingly exposed grade C practice route on the Ewige Wand high above Bad Goisern. Only a roughly 40 m wall step, it climbs through airy terrain that is generously fitted with step pegs, so despite the exposure it stays well within reach of those who are surefooted and free from vertigo. The line is closed each year from 1 March to 15 June while peregrine falcons nest in the cliffs. Its brevity makes it an ideal warm-up to pair with the nearby Leadership and Mein-Land-Dein-Land routes.
