About this route
The Sokolie skaly area offers a varied spread of routes for everyone, from easy bridges and viewpoints for beginners to technically demanding climbing passages for the experienced. Everything is carefully secured with steel cables and footholds, giving plenty of safety even in the exposed parts. Beginners can pick lines such as the bridge in the maple crowns or Plamienka, while the more advanced will appreciate the tougher Kršiak or Orol at grade C, the longest reaching about 94 m with some 55 m of vertical. The approach from the car park takes at most twenty minutes, and with clear signposting the entry is hard to miss. This adventure-park-style world by Pustý hrad opened in April 2025, and a ferrata set can be rented at Koliba u Rytiera.
