About this route
The Radsteig is a very easy via ferrata graded A, so gentle that no equipment is strictly needed, and is best used as a secured shortcut down from the Predigstuhl. At just 60 m long it is more of a short protected passage than a full climbing route, sitting at around 1135 m in the Totes Gebirge above the Hallstättersee. From the large car park right by the cottage you reach it by turning west along the bike path and then onto Wanderweg 246. You can return the same way or pick another variant, such as continuing to the top of the Predigstuhl.
