About this route
The Outdoor Leadership Predigtstuhl is a compact sport klettersteig graded C that threads the craggy walls of the Predigtstuhl, the house mountain above Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee. Despite its short climbing length of roughly 100 metres it packs in plenty of character: a steep entry wall that immediately demands arm strength, three slanting ladders, a small overhang leading into a rock crack with a jammed block, and an airy summit ridge, all rewarded with a fine view towards the Dachstein. The terrain is consistently well supplied with footholds, yet the route sits above average for its grade and is no place for absolute beginners. Note that the wall is part of a privately run training area and that the approach is fairly steep, so it suits confident climbers and guided clients looking for an inventive short outing.
