About this route
Otmarjeva pot climbs the rocky Gradiška Tura above the Vipava Valley and ranks among the more demanding via ferratas in Slovenia. Built in 2019, it runs about 450 m with some 240 m of height gain, and an overhanging, exposed start at grade C tests arm strength right away, which is why a full set and helmet are mandatory and some sources call the crux closer to C/D. The trailhead sits roughly 30 minutes above Gradišče village near Camp Tura, and the line rewards the effort with sweeping panoramas over the wide valley toward the Gulf of Trieste and the Nanos massif. It is best enjoyed as a low-altitude objective in the warmer months, and many combine it with the easier neighbouring Furlanova pot for a satisfying round.
