About this route

The Via Ferrata del Viento tackles the northern peak of the Cancho de la Muela by way of an elegant, direct dihedral that gives it real character. Graded C, it runs about 170 metres with some fifty metres of height gain and is comfortably climbed in around fifty minutes after a ten-minute walk-in. The line is exposed and the small, polished staples ask for clean footwork, especially since the granite turns slippery after rain. Pairing nicely with the neighbouring Muela routes, it suits intermediate ferratists chasing a short but rewarding ascent.

Highlights

  • Elegant direct dihedral line
  • Exposed granite climbing
  • Pairs with the Muela routes
