About this route
The Via Ferrata de la Arista climbs the north summit of the Cancho de la Muela, linking two granite blocks set about fifty metres apart across a height difference of roughly seventy metres. Graded C in the standard line, it strings together staples, hanging bridges and natural rock slides, with a sporting K4 variant for those wanting more bite. The day is rounded off with a short rappel of around twenty metres, and the summit opens vast panoramas over the Sierra de Béjar, the Valle del Ambroz and the Sierra de Francia. Approachable enough for confident beginners yet airy in places, it is not the route for anyone with a serious fear of heights.
