Klettersteig Braunwald / Eggstöcke Teil 1 is a varied grade C via ferrata in Switzerland that stands out for its many branching variants, letting climbers tune both length and difficulty to their own appetite, with options reaching as high as D/E. The main section runs roughly 750 metres and takes around three and a half hours, with a 30-minute approach. Several ways lead to the start, from a full day's hike out of the valley to the rack railway from Linthal and the Gumenbahn cable car. A bivouac spot sits partway along the route, and superb views and alpine quiet round out the day, so climbers of differing ability all find something here.
