The Katrin Kletterhalle Indoor/Outdoor-Klettersteig is an unusual training route in Bad Ischl that begins inside the climbing hall and then passes through a window onto the building's outer wall. Running roughly 135 metres with practice sections spanning the full A to E range, it lets you sample everything from gentle warm-up cable to genuinely steep, demanding moves. The approach is barely five minutes from the Katrin cable car valley station, and a full lap takes about an hour. Because it works whatever the weather and equipment can be rented through the Alpenverein, it suits beginners learning the ropes and experienced climbers chasing a focused workout alike.
