About this route
Gumen is a short, easy secured route graded A/B that runs about 80 metres above the Gumen station high over Braunwald. Its great appeal is the almost non-existent approach — it is barely a minute to the start and back — making it an ideal quick outing without any tiring walk. The climbing takes roughly twenty minutes, and the gentle grade makes it well suited to beginners and children. The same high alpine terrace is the gateway to the celebrated Eggstöcke via ferrata over four peaks, so a family-friendly taste here can be a stepping stone to bigger objectives. A rewarding, accessible choice for a relaxed day in the mountains.
