About this route
Gorges de Salenys is an easy, playful via ferrata near Romanyà de la Selva that follows a torrent carving through the woods of the Girona region. Graded A/B and rising only about 100 metres, it climbs the riverbed and its waterfalls, crossing the watercourse several times and threading a remarkable string of suspension, Tibetan and Nepalese bridges over roughly 600 metres. Notable features include the falls of Ressalt de la Murtra and the 60 m Salt del Llop, plus a couple of short zip lines, making it a favourite for introducing newcomers and children to the discipline. Note, however, that reports from 2021 suggest the route may have been stripped of its gear or dismantled, so check its current status before setting out.
