About this route
Ferrata Vigneron is a modern, French-style via ferrata in the Valmalenco, generously fitted with iron rungs and reached by a very short ten-minute approach. Graded B/C, it climbs a fine, airy arête with views over the valley and its villages, taking in a roughly twelve-metre Tibetan bridge and the wall known as Vecchia Inghilterra. Inaugurated in 2025 and dedicated to local Alpine Guide Massimo Bruseghini, it has a moderate yet sustained character that suits climbers with some experience. Descending the ferrata itself is forbidden, so the return is by a forest trail of about forty-five minutes, which can be muddy after rain. With its quick access and engaging line, it makes a satisfying half-day for capable ferratists.
