About this route

Ferrada Via Petraria is a short practice line graded C, set in a climbing sector on the south-facing Paret Negra wall. At only 83 metres it relies more on rock holds than on rungs, opening with a vertical section before traversing left and crossing a small bridge to its highest point. The walk-in is barely five minutes, and the whole route takes about half an hour. As a curiosity, the remains of a Roman soldier are said to lie in a hollow along the way. Too brief to justify a trip on its own, it pairs nicely with neighbouring ferratas such as Bolón, and the cable is meant only for protection rather than for pulling on.

Highlights

  • South-facing Paret Negra wall
  • Rock climbing over rungs
  • Quick add-on to nearby lines
