About this route
Ferata Olimpline is a long combined route in Slovenia that starts straight from the centre of Črna na Koroškem and climbs to the summit of Olimpline. Opened in August 2022, it runs about 1,700 m and takes around three hours, with a short 20-minute approach from town and roughly 550 m of ascent. The base line holds at grade C, but the route weaves in harder D, E and a single F passage – currently described as the toughest via ferrata detail in Slovenia – each with an easier bypass. With genuine alpine exposure, fine views and an optional detour into the Ninot's Hole mining tunnel, it suits everyone from prepared families on the C line to seasoned climbers chasing the F crux.
