About this route

Ferata Dobršnik threads through a wild, wooded gorge near Hrušica, just outside Jesenice in northern Slovenia, following a stream past a string of waterfalls. Graded B with the odd C move higher up, it runs about 1 km and takes around 75 minutes, with a short 15-minute approach from a large car park in Hrušica reached in roughly 40 minutes from Ljubljana. The setting is the route's main draw: the gorge holds eight waterfalls, the tallest at 22 metres, and the climb passes right beside seven of them. Opened in August 2022, it is a varied yet manageable line well suited to beginners and families, with the option to extend the day up Hruščanski vrh. The rock can stay slippery even on hot days, and the gorge is closed in winter and best avoided in storms or high water.
