About this route
Felix' Himmelsleiter is the shortest yet hardest line in the Kletterpark Spielmäuer, packing a concentrated grade D into roughly 60 metres of climbing. Its signature is a 30-metre rope ladder, slightly overhanging at C/D, that hauls you through the biggest overhangs on the wall, climbed from the inside with your face pointed out over the void for a real jolt of exposure. The start sits about 45 minutes on foot from the Wegscheid parking, and the loop drops back down to the base after the wall. Despite the thrills the protection is excellent, though the area is closed seasonally for the rut and over winter.
