About this route
Cvičná is the most basic ferrata in the Via Ferratový Svet park at Skalka, above Kremnica, meant for a first encounter with moving along a secured line and handling via ferrata gear. At a mere fifteen metres and graded B, it is the gentlest possible introduction, manageable by anyone and over in barely a minute. You find it first thing after entering the park from the Chata na Skalke, ending at an iconic tree on the rock. It serves children and complete beginners perfectly, letting them try without pressure what via ferrata is really about. It is ideal as a warm-up before moving on to longer, harder lines.
