About this route
Ferata Mojstrana - Aljaževa pot is a short, easy via ferrata above Mojstrana in Slovenia, graded B and well suited to beginners or as a warm-up for harder routes. Following a blue cable over roughly 250 metres, it takes about an hour and starts just ten minutes from the car park by the Slovenian Mountaineering Museum. There are a few exposed steps and ladders, and at the top a miniature replica of the famous Aljaž Tower, complete with a logbook, before you reach the modest summit of Grančišče. The descent follows the normal hiking path, making this a friendly, family-capable outing with lovely views toward the Julian Alps and the Karawanks.
