About this route

Adlerhorst is a short but rewarding via ferrata graded C, running along the Piel Flue rock face directly above Lake Arnisee in central Switzerland. Around 230 metres long with roughly 205 metres of vertical, it climbs at about 1,777 m with sweeping views over the lake and the Reuss valley. The 30-minute approach from the Arnisee cable car is pleasantly short, and the climbing itself is sporty and varied. Secured throughout with steel cable and rungs, it is broadly family-friendly, yet the longer wall above the ticket hut is a genuinely demanding C section, so prior via ferrata experience is recommended. The season runs from May to November, with a full set and helmet essential.
